“Nathan started tutoring me around two months prior to my A-levels. I didn’t have much hope of getting a high mark in my business class because all my mocks and past papers had disappointing results. This is mostly due to me taking business for less than a year and a half and preparation for the exam was very rushed and difficult. As a student with dyslexia, I found it really hard to revise and memorize topics. However, when I started my lessons with Nathan he told me that we will go through everything I need to know before this exam from the beginning, not from my “weak” topics.
We started with weekly sessions, and then moved up to 4 hours a week closer to the exam date. Nathan was extremely flexible, moving his schedule around to make more time for our lessons. Topics that I thought I knew, he brought more depth to; topics I had struggled with at school he presented in a more logical fashion and provided newfound clarity, helping greatly with my recall. Not only did he help me grasp topic content better, but he also made sure I was more than confident in my exam technique: how to correctly answer questions; how to structure them; time management during the exam (which was largely helpful to me as a dyslexic student); evaluation at the end of my answers; the list goes on. Essentially, Nathan made sure we covered everything I needed to know walking into the exam room from point A to B, maximizing my attainment; he closed the gap between my position at the start of the programme and my potential in a very short period of time.”
